hey -

i dunno

a post about what gets you through the day

just all of it -

you know?

----

i found when i came to TO - I was praying and walking at the same time -

it happened -

and then too - i found myself singing softly -

i think also

creative stuff - helped

like - i prayed on so many levels -

first to god -

to christ

to myth -

light

really just loving
humanity - at times just the good bad and ugly -
trying to balance it all - dunno
just -

it feels good to be creative -

and it all - just can

help summon life -

to it's positive need

\:\)

my mind started becoming like

a dream on -

associating so much of my experience to movie

scenes -

TV lines etc..

it's amazing

ah life...

how do you get through?

love to us here

mark

I guess what gets me through the day is the people around me who love me, my wife, my kids, my unconditional loving dog, and friends. What also gets me through the day is that I have responsibility to them, to the people of my church (I am a pastor), and also to God.

Sometimes, I only get through a day because I just keep pushing onward.

What helps are the "little things," a compliment (even if I struggle to accept them), a beautiful sunset.

Sometimes, I simply don't know how I get through the day, I just do. Today is one of those days. It's 2 pm, and I just can't wait for the day to be over.

Jeff

Mark,

Interesting topic! When I was asking myself how I would get through the day, I kept finding that what did it for me was the support I had: from my family and also from guys here. I especially remember feeling hopeful when I read what guys who were way ahead of me had to say. To me that suggested the idea of recovery as a path, and focusing on remaining on the path rather than worrying how much or how little I had advanced that day, that week, etc.

Much love,
Larry

Being or feeling safe I suppose.
People like me, and I love to see them every morining when I take my dog out.

Just being able to see the beauty in nature, is probably the best thing for me, then my cooking which is excellent, even though I say so myself.

I put everything into it, and yeah, it tastes good too,
