I usually think snow is a royal pain in the butt, however it's been such a mild winter and the storm has arrived on the weekend so I'm actually looking forward to this one. By all reports it'll be a whopper; at least 8 - 12, maybe more.

My grocery shopping is done and a plan is made to spend tonight and tomorrow with friends, lots of food, hot cocoa and some cocktails. Maybe even a snow angle or two.

WhooooooooooHoooooooooooo!

For anyone in the NJ/NY area - Have Fun! I know I will.

ROCK ON.......Trish

Trish,

When I was a student at Princeton we loved the wild and ferocious storms of winter. As you said, lots of food and drink, friends coming if they were within walking distance, watch the storm from in front of the fireplace....ahhhhh!!!! \:D

Much love,
Larry

Yup, perfection. It's snowing very lightly right now so the friends who are coming over are driving, carrying their blankets and pillows. We're having a blizzard party, complete with sleep over.

We don't have the fireplace yet; we're just finishing the room where it will go next year, and I don't think it would be a very good idea to bring the chiminea inside. Maybe I'll just print out a picture of a fireplace and tape it to the wall where it will go. We can have our own yule log \:D

It's even snowing in Amsterdam! Good grief, what IS the world coming to? Or is the snow just following me around?

Well my foot of snow turned into almost 2 feet! It was all so pretty until everyone started shoveling and the plows came down the street. I took some pics that I'll post soon. I tried to get the dog to play with me in the snow, but the little wimp couldn't hack it *lol* I guess I can't really blame her, she does have short hair and no coat, still.........

Hi,

I heard from TV news about the NY region snow storm. It looks so strange that people are skiing down the street.

I just hope no one will be buried under the snow.

In Russia we had extra low temperatures after the new year. -35 F was during the day.

Alexey

Alexey,

The news over here reported on the brutal winter Russia is suffering from. The snow is cool, but that kind of bitter cold I could do without. Stay warm.

Mark, I thought you got alot of snow in your part of the world?

BTW, 2 feet of snow will be completely gone by tomorrow 'cause it was almost 40 yesterday, 50 today and all the way to 60 tomorrow. I'm glad I took my pics right away. What totally screwy weather.

ROCK ON.......Trish
