I was looking for something to bring up my spirits, and then it hit me - I've made some pretty witty (to me, anyway \:D ) observations. Some, like the one in my signature, I've used as such, but others I've adapted from other people's clever observations for my use. To wit -

Be positive. It'll drive everyone else bonkers.

Normal is the state everyone strives for, and no one achieves.

Every time I wonder if I'm sane or not, I just remind myself that I'm not and move on. No sense dwelling on such things.

Every time I see your face, I get that stupid Ringo Starr tune in my head.

Be a non-conformist, unless everyone else is.

Happiness is realizing you're the only one who knows you're God.

All I want out of life are the simple things - a roof over my head, some food in my belly, and universal domination. In that order.

Be your own person. I mean, it's not like you can be anyone else.

My life is inspired by a true story.

When anyone calls you nuts, simply tell them you're a storyteller, which qualifies you to be a megalomaniacal control freak.

Why do we need a voicebox to whistle?

Remember, the eyes of the paintings ARE staring at you.

A conundrum - there are NO "I's" in Texas, yet the state song is "The Eyes of Texas are Upon You."

Who told Chuck Norris he could sing, anyway?

Another conundrum - you can repeat all of his strips from beginning to end, yet Charles Schultz's "Peanuts" will always be fresh every time you read them.

Peter Allen is the Funk King of Newark.

I miss the soulful lipsyncing of "Milli Vanilli."

Rocky 6 - When 4 sequels aren't enough.

What is so international about IHOP? They make PANCAKES!

So, what are YOU'RE witty observations?

\:D

Peace and love,

Scot

it's true about IHOP -

that's at a time when 'the continental' thing was in -

french fries!

french toast -

International house of pancakes -

general mills international coffees?? nah - not think so -

there were lots of things like that started in i think the late 50s early sixties..

we were as a culture - becoming urbane ,,, eh?

((((((((((((Mark))))))))))))

Hey, don't be makin' fun of Maxwell House International Coffees! They came out when I was but a wee one ('70s \:D ), and their funky flavors and true "Europeanish" stylings gave us.....STARBUCKS! Come on, admit it! Where d'ya think they got the idea of marketing lattes and mochachinos? The only thing better about THEIRS are they're made fresh, not from instant!

I think General Mills should sue for copyright infringement!

Okay, I'm back from my ranting now.

But that brings to mind another observation -

When did they stop making coffee-flavored coffee?

Okay, I can't stop at just one.

Dunkin' Donuts is a donut shop. Not a coffee shop. They need to stop with the gourmet coffees now. What next - McDonald's & Burger King becoming trendy coffeemeisters?

Uh, oh.....just heard they're doing JUST that!

I love being me, but not all the time. Can I be you for a while?

French-cut green beans....why are they French?

For every saint, there's a TON of @$$holes.

Stupidity - the only thing worthy of capitol punishment.

The British have it all wrong - it's ALUMINUM!

The British have it all wrong part II - it's HURRICAINE! LONG "A," BBC!

I love being a U.S. citizen, but Canadians are funnier.

They also have better beer.

So do the Germans.

The French got Jerry Lewis. We got the croissant. We came out ahead in that trade.

The Irish are the best people in the world, bar none. They're building a dynamic economy, they're quiet and hard working, they're religious, they brew Guinness, they make the best breakfasts around, they make up right after they fight someone, and they stay the Hell out of the rest of the world's business.

Keep on adding.

Peace and love,

Scot

Kinda Whish, kinda wow, Charlie! \:D

Okay, this might be a stereotype, or it might be too flamboyent, but I remember the '70s commercials for Fabrege' perfumes, and Miss Liza Minelli was singing....

Life is a Fabrege', old chum!

\:D

Okay, this thread has taken a strange turn, but I say roll with it!
