Thank You for the 4th of July!

Thank you for being here on this place.

If they had the internet in 1776 we would
have like just had a flame war and sent each
other virus's and such.

But we love you even if your English is a bit different ;\)

So 229 years after we Yanks are taxed out of
existence by our "representatives", are forced to drink third rate tea (not me I am allowed to buy real English tea at the military exchange: Typhoo and PG), you (the British) warned us about France
and we were stupid.

Part of my family realizes they could have stayed in Wales and been allowed to speak their language,
we were not afforded that here

God Save The Queen
and

Cymru am byth "Wales Forever" as that great Welsh American Thomas Jefferson used to write, when he wasn’t busy writing the Declaration of
Independence.

RockyMtJoe, yeah, I thought so much about this holiday thing.

Guess what though, I tend to not celebrate anything, so I dont really know what it is so much about \:\)

Whilst there are not so many of us here from the UK, at least we speak with common tongue.

The tea is good, and so is a real English breakfast ;\)

I do not know so much Welsh, but,

Diolch yn fawr iawn,

ste

I thought about this whole Independence Day thing, too. Isn't it funny how a couple hundred years can make something seem so.... what's the word? And now the US dollar is worth what fraction of a euro? And former president Clinton--is he related to Prince Charles? And what countries go romping hand in hand around the world?

Oh well. At least it's that special time of year when drunk people and children get to play with high-powered explosives and shoot screeching, flame-covered cardboard onto the grass covered countryside.

God save the fire department.

And to think the only reason I get to watch this is because of an Irish potato famine in 1840. :p

Just seems so.... oh, what is the word?

I'm pleased to some Welsh heritage, and language, here at MS as I'm a Welshman, although much to my shame I don't speak the language.

I still spend much time there with the Mid Wales 4x4 Club, and with my hordes of cousins.
My parents were about the only people from both sides of the huge family to come to England to live.

Someday soon I think I'll return.

I hope that there is no one here who lose someone in this terrible thing that happen in London. It is such horrible, to imagine the minds of people who will do those things, and I hope that peace will be found by those who have to witness such things.
