I was in my car at a stop light listening to a Jack Johnson CD. Across the street were 2 young guys just a truckin' along to my music (it seemed); one had a Christmas hat that flopped about 2 feet down his side. It looked so neat and made me smile.
Just wanted to share.

Still have a problem with a simple declarative sentence.

God forgave me, but my 8th grade teacher, Sister Rita Bernardine gave me that look that only a nun can give.

Joyeous Christmas to all of you,

Rita Bernadine - that names suggests she might have preferred to have been a dreamgirl in the moonlight lounge in Reno.
eh?

sorry - that was rather not nice -

my exposure however to a couple of unpleasant nuns -

has coloured - the pleasanter ones that are out there.

Sr RB is no longer with us - is buried on the side of a hill in Worcester - you can see the site from 290 going up the hill from Quinsig.
A convent for retired nuns.

Anyway, she was a grandmotherly type, sent to tame my class which was a bunch of hormonal thugs. In 7th grade we went thru 16 teachers - 1st one had a nervous breakdown and left. There was the training school for nuns 1 mile away and they were sent to us one after another - 'on the job training, like going to war.'

I have a photo of me and my cousin with Sr RB - after confirmation or something.

So long ago, so far away it seems and I sit alone wondering what happened to me, when I was still innocent? How did I arrive here, now in Marlboro, Massachusetts, waiting, but for what?
