Scot's Pick O' The Week......

Now in Low-Carb formula! \:D

"Schoolhouse Rock - 30th Anniversary Edition" (Disney DVD)

This was a pleasant memory from childhood. Short cartoons that could be fun AND educational. I STILL remember the Preamble to the US Constitution completely because of the little musical jingle that went with the 'toon.

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, in the '70s, ABC Television decided to air a bunch of short (3+ minute) educational cartoons between their Saturday morning kid's programs to teach subjects like multiplication, American history, science, English grammar, and economics (money). They were phenomenomally successful because they were funny as heck AND successfully taught these subjects. So popular were these that they got their own listings in the TV Guides of the time (unheard of again for a 3-minute each program). For true media nerds like myself, they collected them onto DVD for their 30th anniversary, adding a new cartoon and a bunch of really cool bonus materials. I think they're great for kids, and they're fun to watch for everyone.

Believe it or not, I use the "Grammar Rock" 'toons in my classes!

The video is worth a look, even for those who don't have kids!

'Till next week!

Peace and love,

Scot

*singing* He was a hairy bear, he was a scary bear...

I like the album Schoolhouse Rock! Rocks that has a bunch of modern bands adding a new hip sound to the songs.

I see that is from Amazon.com. Anytime you want to purchase anything from Amazon.com it would help MaleSurvivor if you enter through the "Bookstore" link above. That way MaleSurvivor will get a small percentage of the sale. Every penny helps.
