I rang this nun in some convent, and eventually I got through to a live nun.
She ranted off in Irish about how you do this and that, buy hey, I only ask you for a mass card.

I thought she was just a nun in the fast lane, and I could not get a word in edgeways, but I got one line in to ask her whether she was a sister of Mercy?

No we are not, but we are a part of this sisterhood.

Maybe its the turn of some sister to talk to someone when they have committed to the vow of silence!

Maybe she was having her period. My father used to help the Brother Principal in our parish high school and every now and then they'd drive down to the local liquor store and get a case of scotch whiskey and delver it to the convent.(33 nuns) When it was 'that time' the afflicted nun got a shot in her tea after class. True story.
