Im just wondering is there an issue with the chat room as im unable to access it, when i click the chatroom link it goes to the loading screen but no further, is there anything i can do to resolve this problem?

I was just able to log in a minute ago. Maybe shut down your browser and try again? Make sure that Java is working?

Thanks for your response.
I tried restarting my browser, and also updated my java but still its the same, i just get the loading bar over an over. This one has me stummped.

Try power-cycling your computer, modem, router or any other networking hardware you have.
I have to do that fairly regularly.

so after trying everything i can think of to fix this problem i have, i was informed that the latest version of java does not work with the latest version of mozzilla and is the more likly reason for this problem, now what am i suppose to do.

Java is total crap and is not compatible with a load of software, so good job its on its way out.

the same thing is happening to me all of a sudden. i did not update anything or change any settings, the chatroom just won't get past the loading screen anymore.

did your computer update java? mine did and i couldnt use the room either. so i did a "system restore" to bring my computer back to before it update java. maybe that will help.

Java is a pain in the butt, and it can exploit your computer as it runs programs on your comp.
It has totally messed up Opera browser, but I can get in with Netscape.

It has been updated to make even sadder pop ups than of past, to make money from these idiots who want to make money out of you, and throw porn down your throat.

You could uninstall it, as it has no use in male survivor other than to disable functions.

Do I detect a degree of bitterness toward JAVA?

A bit or searching on Google should reveal some sites that offer older versions of Java for download. If you can find it try downloading the one with the highest version number other than the version you have and see how it works.

That's the only suggestion I can think of.

Man, I've tried everything listed above but still noting I'm still just getting a loading screen, this is really starting to wreck my head I never realised how much i need that room even if i am a quiet guy. im totally lost on this one.

I can get in with both netscape and ace explorer.
IE is uninstalled, but I recently deleted all cookies and files in IE tool menu, under internet options.

Deleting cookies will mean that your auto login will be disabled to this site and you will have to re-login.

I know the latest Java is not so good, but it has not stopped those two browsers from letting me in, not that I ever go there,

this is weird!

i could not get in with firefox, so i used IE. but i just tried to get in with firefox and now i can again. i havent changed ANY settings at all. weird, well i guess computers have a mind of their own.

The new chat room will not be Java based.

Not that it matters now that we have a new chatroom, but I've had similar problems like batcountry mentions with the MS chatroom in the past. Wouldn't work with one browser so I used the other and when I went back to the first browser it worked also.
