Here's some ideas for those in charge of this most excellent place:

-- All members should have a secret handshake (for the sake of being cool)

-- In that packet we got in the mail we got cool stuff, but we didnt get any stickers. I was in the X-Files fan club once and I got stickers with it. Oh and I was in the Weezer Fan club and they sent me unreleased CDs of their music. I could die happy if I had a oldschool "NOMSV" live CD I could rock out to. Temporary tattoos would be cool too. I'll head that up if you want me to.

Damn I was gonna give a lot more ideas but I can't stop thinking about what a cool NOMSV tattoo would look like. i think i'll draw it.

ok thanks

John_

By the way, I don't know what to consider this membership. I want to place it above access to a discussion forum, and above my fan clubs, and above my connections with the mafia, but I'm at a loss.

I love that idea! It's brilliant! If you want me to head that one up I'll see what I can do.

John, Ken:

Great, excellent, hilarious, ROFL! \:D

And by golly I want one of those coffee mugs!

I also want a CD! Actually, I'm putting together my own CDs of my favorite "survivor songs"--stuff like "Won't Back Down" and "I Will Survive."

One thing I would like to know: where do you guys get those cool icons/avatars by your names, and how do you put them there?

Hope I can meet you guys at a conference or retreat sometime soon, and we'll work on that secret handshake!

Vic

Wow Marc my friend you've really been digging thru the ol' archives huh? \:D

BTW I like that quote, and your avatar!

Oh, the problem with the coffee cup?

We're still trying to figure out how to get them into those little envelopes!

I've always wanted to be a card carrying member. How would I get the coffee cup in my wallet?

uhhhh, where would the tattoo go?

the secret handshake would need to include our intro to each other (that presumes our names aren't needed) "Hi, my T's name is xyz and my dysfunctions include ".

I'm not sure I wouldn't take the coffee cup to work with me. It's just crazy enough.

How long does it take to get the packet of cool stuff? I signed up a month ago, but I haven't received anything in the snail mail yet.

Man, the more I think about it, the more I want that coffee cup. :p

Thanks,

Joe

Victor,

The snail mail came through, and I got my packet yesterday. My wife thinks I'm crazy for wanting the coffee cup, or perhaps for other reasons. \:D

Now if the books I ordered from barnes&noble on April 23 would finally show up. Word of caution, never accept the "free shipping for two or more items" option. I think someone has been walking the order to MD from CA, planting the trees along the way to someday produce the paper on which the books will be printed!

Thanks,

Joe

Barnes & Nobles!?

Brother, brother, brother...Please tell me you checked Amazon.com thru the MS bookstore first to see if they had the books you wanted?!

When we buy our books that way a percentage of the sales proceeds goes to the support of Male Survivor.

Sorry, that was the Books forum moderator in me speaking. \:o

Seriously I do hope you get the books soon. I love
books & I hate waiting for them.

I just got off the phone with B&N. The books are "lost in transit" and they'll send another set, with upgraded shipping.

I should have bought them through the link here to Amazon. It's "Betrayed as Boys" and "Leaping Upon the Mountains."

Thanks,

Joe

How about a big hip bone and a warm blanket for the old wolves among us and a spot close to the fire. I would settle for that.

A box will hold the big hip bone & warm blanket.

But I'll be damned if I can figure out how we're gonna mail you that fire!

Or the spot for that matter!

But we'll try you're worth it! ;\)
