will3 Junior Member Registered: 04/23/05 Posts: 15 Loc: nyc	I am a successful composer who has written 3 songs based on survivor poetry from the collection, "In Cabin 6." You can hear the 3 songs at : http://willpitts.com/portfolio.htm#cantata. The poetry was recited for this performance, but I hope it will be sung the next time it's performed.

will3 Junior Member Registered: 04/23/05 Posts: 15 Loc: nyc	thanks for listening. i hope you listened to the last song,"growing up," since this song is quite redemptive. you are right that i wanted the first 2 songs to be disturbing because abuse is just that. the last song, though, shows the healing and wisdom that can come from pain.
