Thanks for your reply. However, I live right on the Indiana/Illinois border, some distance from you. If you too desire to join a group I encourage you to place a listing on this board. And, you may find this book helpful: "A Circle of Men" by Bill Kauth. The men's group I was a part of was based on this book's directions and lessons. It was definitely a good experience. Take care. Although I no longer live in Lake county, that is where I was abused. It does my heart good to know you are trying to start a healing group in the area where my pain started.

You are welcome. I am attempting to start a group, but so far I am struggling to find men interested. Sadly, too many men keep their pain inside and do not know how or are not interested in sharing openly and honestly with fellow caring men. Getting a group going is not easy but, I will not give up hope. I wish us both well on our healing journeys. Sincerely,

I am not an expert on 12 step sex addiction groups. I recommend you contact the groups: SIA and ISA. They both have websites. You can go to http://www.google.com and enter "SIA" or "ISA" in the search box. That need get you there. Good luck.

i and a friend started a men's support group based on the book "a circle of men" by bill kauth. the group lasted about 3 years when i left it. it may still meet for all i know. it was a real good experience and i hope i am able to get another group formed soon. it was not easy but the payoff was well worth it. i recommend to any man that they get their hands on the book by kauth and give it a try. take care free voice. sincerely,
