No problem with it here either! Of course, I'm not a moderator! Leosha

I've been privileged to have read the rough copy of Benders, and it's a good read.
It's triggering, sad and often very distressing, but always written with a sense of hope that comes through, even in the darkest moments. It's also written with Kirk's dark humour shining through.

This Posting could prove "TRIGGERING"
Thank you Dave
I have been in contact with the message board moderators and so far so good it just has to be ok'ed fully by all of the moderators board.
One reason I am doing this is because of impatience, it is proving extremely hard to find a literary agent or publisher here in the UK, the British tend to stick their head in the sand with regards CSA, but it is changing, but as with most change, it is a very slow buisness. I do feel that BENDERS is an accont that must be told and hopefully stimulate some sort of debate.
There is a distinct lack of books (here in the UK especially) written by male survivors of CSA, in my case being regularly assaulted by a ring of quite well off paedophiles. I feel also that I want this book to help anyone, in just a small way by instilling a little hope especially those just coming to terms with SA. I didnt really look at mine for nearly forty years.
It is also the account of how I affected society by way of that abuse, the usual culprits are here chronic alcoholism/addictions, homelesness, male prostitution, bullying, a very long sexual identity crisis, long stays (five years in all) in general hospitals, psychiatric units and drug rehabs.I escaped prison.I could go on.
I do however look at BENDERS as a book of hope. As I got sober, after my third failed suicide attempt and two years later I entered university, it was then that my world started to disintigrate. BENDERS is about what happened.
It also contains a journal during the time of my disclosure, the police investigation that was to become Operation Arundel, the arrests, the charging of two of my abusers (all of the ones that now have convictions are mentioned within the MS message board over the years). The Criminal justice System, politicians, media coverage (Of which there was a great deal)plus comments on my entering therapy specifically to deal with my SA.
My wife has also written a chapter of the book on what it is like to live with a recovering drunk/addict (of ten years now) and a sexually/ generally dysfunctional husband.
This chapter alone deserves to be read by a larger audience.
Once I get the go ahead from the Moderators Board I will start posting in Books, Music and films.
Thankyou for your support
Kirk
